Week 60 September 3, 2007

Family,

That’s so great that you guys are going to the cabin. You guys are really having a lot of fun lately, enjoying vacations. Have a great time and I’ll look forward to the pictures!

This week was an awesome week here with Elder Silvério. He’s such a good companion and we had a lot of success. It was one of the best weeks yet. One of the members this week asked me to do a favor for her and translate a document. It was a packet on dentistry that was only written in English. Her friend is studying post-dental and I told her that I would try. It was a lot of fun but it was way too hard. There were words that weren’t in the dictionary and it was a big mess. There were phrases with 7 adjectives and I ended up having to return it but was a lot of fun and I learned a lot.

This week there was a District Conference here. The district comprises of 2 cities and on Saturday the city of São Gabriel traveled here and then on Sunday we traveled there. Sunday we filled up 4 buses and it was a lot of fun. Catiane and here family went and we had a family of investigators go too. It felt so good seeing people active that have been baptized. President Myrrha spoke and he gave a great talk on D&C 88:119. He told us that we all need to work on making our homes a home of God.

After I finish here using the internet me and Elder Silvério are going to eat tacos at Cleber’s house. He received a package of tacos from a returned missionary in the US. After we’re going to go fishing here in the river. I’m told that there are piranhas ( it’s actually not a real piranha but a fish that’s related to it), leeches, and snakes- I guess that’s one of the reasons missionaries aren’t supposed to go in the water.
