Week 59 August 27, 2007

Family,

The trip must have been so much fun for you guys. Hey, Elder Christiansen is going to have his mom call you this week. I gave him the house number and your cell phone number. He’ll be finishing his mission the end of this transfer and will be home the first week of October.

This week was a very memorable week. The baptism went great. The heater was still having problems and it wasn’t fixed until a couple hours before the baptism. The guy came to fix it the day before and ended up staying here in the city and working on it early in the morning. We were very thankful for the work he did. We turned the heater on and it ended up working too good. The water was very hot and we had to add more cold water to it. I ended up baptizing the family and it was a great experience. There was also a baptism from the other branch here and we had the baptism together. It felt so good seeing them baptized especially after all that has happened before. They have such a strong desire to stay strong in the church and it will be very good to be able to work with them.

The first week with Elder Silvério here has been awesome. It’s been really great since we’ve known each other before in Alegrete. I’m really excited for the transfer.

It sounds like you all had a lot of fun on your trip. I’m glad you were all able to do so much stuff and have a great time.
