Family,
Well I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. There were a few Brazilians that came to me and wished me a happy 4th of July. This week was one of the coldest in my life. Yesterday was a record cold on the mission here for me. This week was a very good working week though. We taught more this week than any other week in my mission.
This week a RM came home here to Rosário. He was a great missionary and we’re teaching his family right now. His name is Wagner. He served in São Paulo and met an American sister missionary in the field. The sister was finishing her mission and when she got home she wrote Wagner. Wagner asked his Mission President if he could write her. His president said “sure and who knows maybe you’ll end up marrying her”. Well long story short, they’re engaged and he’ll be leaving to the US here in a couple of weeks. We’re working on baptizing his family before he leaves.
We got to meet the new president this week. He’s a very nice guy and I’m very excited. He went to the Bountiful temple a few weeks ago. His wife is very nice too. We got to hear about how they met and they bore their testimonies.
After the mini tour I walked out of the chapel and Irmã Rosa was standing there with her daughter Manuele. I was so happy to see them. I had forgotten to give her the DVD of the Mormon Tabernacle choir so I gave it to her then. She loved it and said she had always wanted one. She said to tell you thanks and that she loves you. I got my birthday package yesterday. I really liked the pictures and the food thank you very much. I love the pedometer too. So far today I’ve walked 8996 steps. I haven’t calculated how many miles yet but I’ll have to do that.
Transfers were this week and only Elder J. Silva got transferred. I’ll be with Elder Salvador for another transfer which is nice. The new elder here is Elder Gatto. He is very good friends with President and Sister Myrrah. He seems like a really great guy.
Yesterday we taught Catiane and Márcio. They have now been unemployed for 2 months and food is really low for them. Last night their boy was really sick too. He’s been sick for 2 weeks and hasn’t been getting any better. She said she’d like to take him to the hospital but it’s too cold for him to leave the bed. We went to the Pharmacy this morning and brought him some medicine. When we got there, we found out that Márcio found a job! We were so happy to hear that.
I hope that you have a great week! I’ll talk to you next week.
I love you infinity!!!
