Hey!
I’m glad to hear that you guys had a good Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving here was just like every other day. I definitely remember last Thanksgiving. I remember being at Jim and Sabrina’s and after planning out the day after Thanksgiving sales. Well I guess that’s OK that you guys didn’t go to the day after Thanksgiving sale. Yeah me and Jake will have to go when I get back for sure. What were some of the deals anyways? Were they good? That’s great that you guys bought some new cell phones. I’m also glad to hear that my phone is still working. That’s awesome that you guys are already on the ball with buying presents for Christmas. It’s coming fast. I haven’t exactly figured out what will happen when I can call you and stuff. I’ll find out more information.
This week it was cloudy and rained a little bit. It wasn’t too hot luckily. In other parts of Brazil the roads were flooded and houses were ruined because of the rain though. We had a good week of teaching. We were able to get some new investigators and keep on working. This week we had 2 baptisms but they really were the other elder’s baptism- they just moved into our area right before the baptism. It was a very nice meeting. We also were able to find out one of the problems with one of our investigators. She was afraid of water and that was the only reason that she didn’t want to be baptized. Also this Saturday and Sunday is our stake conference so we have to move the Baptism of Maria Elaine until next Saturday.
This week President Mack and Sister Mack are coming to our city and will most likely stop by at our houses. From what every missionary says, it sounds like Sister Mack is never pleased with our houses and tells us we need to do a lot better. So I guess I’ll get to find out what Sister Mack thinks of our house. We’ve been doing a great job with what we have to keep it clean so I don’t think she’ll be too mad. I still haven’t received a package but that’s because I only get mail and packages on transfers and during zone conference. I’ll let you know when I get them.
It’s getting closer and closer to Christmas and I heard the first Christmas song the other day. I guess Christmas is big here but they don’t play a lot of Christmas songs. I also saw some Christmas lights around a door. I haven’t been too homesick yet but I definitely will be more during Christmas. President Mack is going to have us work on Christmas just like a normal day. I don’t know exactly how it’s going to work but he said that a few years ago he let the missionaries watch one Disney movie but everyone watched more than one and broke the rules so he’s not doing the movie thing again. I’ve been saving some money cause I’m going to buy a big carton of ice-cream and eat it on Christmas.
Well I guess a lot happened this week- Dan’s farewell, Ben’s birthday, Thanksgiving. I can’t believe that Dan is already at the CTM right now. Will you be able to tell me his email address?
Have a great week and I’ll talk to you next week! I love you infinity!!!
