Week 98 May 26, 2008

Family,

Our zone conference that we had this week was really great. It’s so refreshing to hear from President Myrrha. He made some more changes this conference about the music we listen to. Before, we were all listening to Enya, EFY, and stuff like that but he said that we shouldn’t listen to it anymore. The only type of music we should listen to is the music from the church like the mo-tab. It doesn’t bother me at all though. To be honest I’m so sick of EFY I don’t even know if I could handle listening to it again.

This Saturday we have the great opportunity of seeing the dedication of the Curitiba temple here in Brazil. It will be broadcast live in the chapels here but we have to have our temple recommend to get in. It will be a really great experience.

This week we were able to teach a lot. There are a lot of wonderful people that we’re teaching. There’s a family with 6 kids that we’re teaching who are progressing a lot. The first time we got there, the mom didn’t really accept us that well but now when we get there, the mom warmly welcomes us in and is interested now in learning more. Some of her kids have been going to church for quite a while and will be baptized soon.

Elton and Eliara gave us some really good news this week. They said that today they will go to Uruguay to start the process of their wedding. They went to church yesterday and are helping us teach other people.

The weather here was pretty crazy this week. It started out really really hot where I was sweating constantly and I even slept with a fan turned on the whole night. Now these last few days, I’ve woken up with frost on the grass and I sleep with two blankets.

I’m going to try to send some pictures to you all. I hope that you all have a wonderful week and I’ll talk to you all later!

I love you all!!
Elder Fowler
