Family,
Well first of all my email account here is working again. It was really weird. I transferred a few things to my msn account and it magically freed up a lot of space.
That’s awesome that you were able to talk to Elder Coughran. He is such an awesome guy. We served in Alegrete for a while. Mom, I understand completely how you’re feeling about traveling alone. That would be really nice if you were to find someone to travel with you. If you could, would you be able to see if there is anyone else that would travel with you? I’d still would really like you to come here but obviously your safety is above everything. If no one would be able to go with you and if it wouldn’t be safe for you than we can just scrap the idea but if there is someone you’d be able to go with that would be great.
This next week we have transfers and Elder Ball will most likely be transferred. Elder Pinheiro who lives in the same house is going home this week also. He’s finishing his mission.
We had the baptism of Carla. She’s a little girl who has been faithfully going to church for over a year now. She’s 8 years old and she won’t even let her parents travel on Sunday because she wants to go to church. At first her parents were kind of against her going to church but we talked to her for a while and answered a lot of her questions and she let her be baptized. The baptism was so beautiful. Both of her parents went and there were so many members that greeted the family. It was a great first impression that the family had on the church.
We weren’t able to talk to Adriana this whole week because she was traveling but we taught her last night and she still has the desire to pray about the Book of Mormon. She will most likely be baptized in a couple of weeks.
Today we had an awesome experience. We were in Uruguai looking at stuff to buy and then we decided to go to the church in Uruguai to take some pictures by the church sign in Spanish and then we saw some of the missionaries at the church. There are about 16 in their city and we talked about having a soccer tournament of Brazil vs Uruguay. We talked to them for a while and had a great time. After we headed over to our LZ´s house where we had ordered cheeseburgers, lots of pop and ice cream. We ate our fill and just talked. It was a great p-day today.
Mom, let me know how you’re feeling about coming here to Brazil. I’d love you to come here and we’d have so much fun but if you honestly think it would be too dangerous or even if you end up not wanting to come I completely understand. I guess you’ll have to use your motherly instincts. They’ve blessed this family thousands of time until this point, they won’t fail us now! :) I hope that you all have a great week and I love you and will talk to you later!
I love you!
