Week 80 January 21, 2008

Family,

Well I’m still having the problems with my email here. I’ll try to get it taken care of though this week. For now could you send me the letters to my MSN account?

So how was your birthday? I hope you got my card I sent. You’ll have to send me some pictures.

This week we had surprisingly great weather. These last few days I haven’t been sweating too much and in the night I’ve woken up freezing a couple of times. It’s definitely weird summer weather for Brazil. I’ve been enjoying it though. The only problem is there is a swarm of mosquitoes that are living in our house. They are sleeping behind our clothes, under our bed, and basically every other part of shade that exists. Today for sure we’re going to buy a couple of spray bottles and kill them.

This week was a pretty successful week. We marked a few baptisms and this Saturday we’ll be having one of a little girl. She’s been coming to church for a long time and won’t even let her family travel because she wants to go to church. Here the church is far from our area and so we end up walking about 45 minutes with them each Sunday to go to church. The people that go to church are really dedicated here. Most take a bus though but there are quite a few that walk.

I received a phone call this week from Elder Corrêa my last companion in Uruguaiana and he let me talk to some of the people that we baptized. I told them that about the week of July 15 I’ll be there to visit them all and they were so excited. It’s going to be so great to see them again.

Well there’s only two more weeks of the transfer here. It’s been going by so fast. Things here are going great though. I love the members here and the investigators that we have and I love being a missionary. We’re having so much fun here and we have so much work to do.
