Week 77 December 31, 2007

Family,

It was so wonderful to be able to talk to you all on Christmas. It’s great to hear that you all had a great time and got a lot of great stuff. It’s great to hear all your voices- I think Anna’s and Ben’s voices have changed the most. Oh and what did the Ariotti’s get for Christmas?

This week I got burned a couple of days. When I got here we didn’t have any addresses to contact so we spent a lot of hours on the road this week trying to make contacts and get the addresses of people to teach. Hopefully this week we’ll spend more time in the houses than on the roads.

Something really weird keeps happening in every area that I pass through. Almost every member tells me that the first impression they have when they see me is that they think they’ve met me before. I guess there must have been someone here on the mission a couple of years ago that looked like me or something but it’s pretty funny that it happens with so many people. The people in this ward are very nice but from what I’ve heard the ward here is having some difficulties with attending church. I’m very excited to be here and I feel very motivated to do my best here to help this ward grow. The Bishop here is young and has a lot of energy and desire and I can definitely see this ward growing a lot in the future.

Christmas time was very nice. I think I’ve recovered from all the meat I’ve eaten and I’m eating a little more healthy now. Tonight for new years we’re going to celebrate in our house. The president liberated some more time for us at night that we can stay up later so we’re going to make tacos and play UNO. I’m glad that I’m living with 4 elders here it’s always a lot of fun.

That’s so awesome to hear that Becky and Chris Jackson are going to be serving as mission President! They are going to be so great for the mission they serve. Thanks for telling me about Jeff’s talk. He’s such a great guy and was for sure an amazing missionary. It’s going to be so much fun to see everyone once I get home and hear and talk about the experiences we all had.

Things are going great here in Livramento. It’s really fun to be with an American and I hope that I can be able to help him here on the mission. I’m having the time of my life right now and I’m growing and learning more now than any other time on my mission. I’m also writing in my journal every day and I’m healthy and happy.

I hope that you all have a wonderful New Years and I’ll talk to you all next week!!!

I love you infinity!!!
Elder Fowler
