Week 63 September 24, 2007

Family,

This week went by really fast. We had our P day on Thursday because of the day of the gaucho. It was another long parade but this time we left in the middle. It was a very good parade and there were lots of horses but it was just really long. The day of the Gaucho here is pretty much bigger than Christmas and it was a lot of fun.

Right now, we’re teaching a family that is progressing very well. They are reading the scriptures and everything but the only thing they need to do now is get married. We’re going to start that whole process with them but they won’t be able to be baptized until the end of October or maybe November.

This is the last week of Elder Christiansen. Sunday at 2:00 he will be heading home. There is a chance that I could get transferred but it’s small. I really do not want to be transferred. The people here are so great and my comp is awesome. Plus it would be a pain to give Cleber his camera. We’ll find out on Monday though. I’m hoping that I’ll get the camera this week but most likely I won’t. There’s a strike here with the mail services and I have no idea when it will end.

That’s crazy that Laura Taylor is back from her mission. I remember it like yesterday that she left. It’s good to hear that she’s doing good and she had a great mission.
It sounds like you all had a lot of things going on this week. It’s good that everyone’s keeping busy.

Tell Jake he has to play some extra Halo 3 for me. When I get home I won’t even be able to touch him in the game he’ll be so good. That’s so awesome that you’ll be waiting with him in line at 11:00 at night. You’ll have to tell me how that goes. It reminds me of the day after thanksgiving sales at Best Buy.

I’m going to be a little bit short this week because there’s a lot of things I have to do and I don’t have a lot of time. I want you all to know that I’m having the time of my life right now. The difficult times aren’t covering up the good memories and friends I’m making here. I love this work and I love the Brazilian people here and I know there’s no better place I could be right now than here. I love you all and have a great week!

I love you infinity!!!
Elder Fowler
