Hey!
I hope you’re not worried that you didn’t send me your email in time. It’s raining a lot here and the power went out after I read your first email. We decided to go eat first and then return for email.
Well first off I’ll tell you about my companion. We get along great. He’s really a great guy. He still has a desire to work and loves teaching. He’s really good at teaching and I’m excited for this transfer. I would be lying if I said the first few days were easy though. I was really really worried about what to expect and felt all the pressure of my whole area on my shoulders. I didn’t remember some of the addresses for lunch and some of our investigators and it was really hard. As the days went on I just kept praying for help and each day it got a little better and the more I got to know my companion it got better.
I have conference tomorrow morning where we’ll get packages and mail. I’m excited for this Christmas its going to be great. You’ll have to send me a long letter of what everyone got and how it’s going. So this week we have conference tomorrow and then Saturday we have a churrasco with the whole ward and then Sunday for lunch we have another churrasco for lunch and then for dinner we’re going to some member’s house that are in our ward- Vanderson and Renata. They are really awesome and way nice to us.
This week the weather has been crazy. It was 40 degrees Celsius here and I felt like I was going to die in the heat. Then a few days ago we had a rain storm come in. Let me just say that I’ve never ever seen such an awesome storm in my entire life. I’m really not exaggerating when I say that lightning covered the sky and rarely would a second go by without a big flash of lightning. Me and my companion watched it for about an hour before we went to bed and then we had to go in because we were getting a headache from all the flashing lights. After the storm the next day it was burning hot and then today it’s raining a ton. I never know what to expect each day.
Ok, about the calling thing on Christmas. The bishop here said that we could use the church office to call our families. So that is one option. I would just call you guys directly. He said that he would give us the keys if we just return them. The other option we have is you guys calling me. We’re not allowed to call numbers but we’re allowed to receive them. I think the first option is the best of me calling you guys from the church. I think it would be safe for you guys to buy a card anyways though. When its mothers day I don’t know if my new bishop will let us use the church so if you don’t end up using the card you can use it on mother’s day. Also I don’t know exactly how many hours difference it is from here to your house because it was daylight savings time but we moved our clocks opposite than you guys I think. You’ll have to look that up. I don’t know yet what time I’ll be able to call you but sometime between lunch and dinner. Sorry I don’t have more information to give you.
Ben it sounds like you’ve been having a great basketball season. When I played basketball dad would always tell me to foul more cause I wasn’t being aggressive as I should. Keep it up!! It sounds like you’re a lot better at basketball than I was. I wasn’t able to see the Christmas conference but that’s awesome that you guys were able to. Anna I wish I could have heard you sing in Sacrament meeting. You have such a pretty voice! Jake how’s halo going? When do you go back to school? Thomas how’s your Christmas vacation going? Are you still able to have a computer in your room… with WoW? Mom, how are your stories coming? You’re probably busy with Christmas. Do you feel ready for Christmas? Dad, how’s it going with work during the Christmas holiday? When do you get work off? Eu espero que vocês tenham um Feliz Natal! E até a próxima semana!
Tchau!
