Week 18

Hey Dad!

Well I’m glad that the pictures were clear. I’m trying to take very good care of my camera. For another camera that’s 4 mega pixels here costs 500 Reais. I’m making sure that I don’t get it stolen or lost.

I’ve been eating very healthy here in this new city. I’ve been making orange juice every morning and eating a lot of bread. I’ve been cutting back on the eggs too. The most important thing I need to do though is drink a lot of water. It’s getting really really hot now. I get really thirsty pretty fast. It’s pretty easy to fall asleep at 10:30 after a whole day of walking in the heat. I’ve been able to get all the sleep I need. I’ve also been putting on sunscreen everyday. If I don’t then I get burned pretty bad. Even the Brazilians put on sunscreen here.

Well the day after thanksgiving sale is coming up pretty fast. I’m going to miss waiting in line for 10 hours for the store to open. Is it this week or next week?

I’m glad that work is going good and that things are going good at home. You’ll have to tell me about your trip to Moab with Jake.

Well things here in Brazil are going great. The people in this new city are really nice and there are not as many steep hills here either. I really like this city and hope that I can stay here for a while.

Well have a great week and I’ll talk to you next week. I love you!!

Hey Mom!

This week was a great week. It went by very fast. My companion is from Curitiba, kind of close to Sau Paulo. He’s been out for 9 months. He showed me his group and he arrived in the mission the same time as a lot of other missionaries that I knew from my old area.

That’s great that Jake was able to get a halo magazine. You need to tell him to scan me some pictures and send me some information about it.

Well about the Christmas package idea. I’ve learned that batteries here are very expensive and that rechargeable batteries would be the best idea. I haven’t really thought a lot about what I’d want for Christmas. Peanut butter would be way good. That’s way expensive here. Same with candy- especially peanuts. I’ll let you know if I think of
anything that I need. I’ve been doing pretty good here so far.

Well have you guys been thinking of stuff to buy for Christmas? You’ll have to tell me some of your ideas.

Things here have been great. I’ve really been blessed to be able to just get up and work. I wake up each morning with a desire to work and I don’t have to force myself. Well my time’s almost up so I’ve got to go. I hope you have a great week. Oh and sometime could you mail me some of your stories or part of your stories if they’re too big. Especially your poems. Oh and my zone conference is this Friday. Well have a great week! I love you infinity!!!
