Week 72 November 26, 2007

Family,

I´m so sorry to hear about the accident. I sure hope that Emelia recovers fine. I hope that you all had a great thanksgiving.

I´m very glad to say that everything went as planned this last week. The two weddings and the two baptisms were amazing.

On Friday morning we had a Zone meeting but during the meeting my companion Elder Corrêa started feeling a lot of pain in his lower stomach. We ended up giving him blessing and calling a taxi to rush him to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, they wouldn´t allow me to follow him so I had to sit in the waiting room. It was really awkward being alone for that long. About an hour later Elder Luciano and Elder Frame came and met me at the hospital. Elder Corrêa has kidney stones and the doctor let him leave in the afternoon. He has to take some pain medicine and drink lots of water and he´ll be fine.

We had the Wedding of Claudio and Rosely the same day and we left our bags at the church. The other Elders decided to leave our bags because we would be at the church that night but in between my companion going to the hospital and the wedding, someone got into our stuff and stole my companion´s camera. That day was the first day in a long time that I decided not to bring my camera so luckily my camera didn´t get stolen.

The wedding was very nice though. They have been hearing the discussions for almost a year now and now they´re finally getting married to be baptized. They´ll be baptized next month. On Saturday we had the wedding of Sônia and Melo which was very nice too. After the wedding we had the baptism of Veronica and Natalia. It felt so good to see the smile on their faces as they were baptized. This Saturday we have the baptism of Rosário (the mom of Natalia) which will be very nice too.

I still haven´t received the packages but this Thursday Pres Myrrha will be here in the city and I’ll get them. Thanks for going through all the effort Mom in sending the packages and getting everything ready. I´ll have to be a little bit short today because I had to make cds of the pictures I took of weddings.
